ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS

"My favourite and the tastiest way of preparing the brussels sprouts."


Ingredients:
 
brussels sprouts
coarse salt
freshly ground pepper
freshly ground smoked paprika
olive oil

​Method:
  • Rinse and dry the brussels sprouts. Then trim them and remove the yellow leaves.
  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the brussels sprouts, and season them with salt, pepper and paprika.
  • Cover the pan and cook at low heat around 15 minutes, shaking the pan every 30 seconds.
  • When done, the brussels sprouts should be softened, but still firm to the bite.

Interesting Facts:
  • Brussels sprouts contains a larger quantity of vitamin B1 and folic acid. They’re a great choice for those suffering from fibromyalgia, chronic tiredness, lack of concentration and energy. Vitamin B1 and folic acid are especially vital in children’s and elderly’s everyday diet.
  • The consumption of brussels sprouts promotes the healthy blood cell concentration, supports the digestive system and has good benefits to our immune system.
  • They also contain a lot of potassium, fibres and vitamin C.
