I am the lucky person, who got the opportunity to translate Urška's culinary adventure.
I studied English language with literature in Maribor, but ended up working in a real estate market. But the love for English language, my first career choice, remained. I’ve moved to Switzerland with my husband and our daughter a year ago and I immediately found enough new projects to keep me occupied; learning German as fast as possible, going back to real estate school and mainly just trying to embrace the Swiss way of life. But one old project, one old wish kept me wondering; what if? Could I pursue a long lost desire to become a translator? Where to start? The love for cooking and baking lead me to Urška’s blog. So, I wrote her an e-mail and just asked, if she is prepared to give me a chance. The rest of this story is on every other page of this culinary blog.

I enjoy cooking for family and friends, and above all,
I love to watch them eat everything I put on the table.
I cherish the moments with my daughter;
creating, sewing, crocheting, baking, having fun and just watching her grow up.
I also value the me time; reading my favourite Jane Austin book over and over again.
I’m fascinated with homemade soaps and creams.
My meditation is trying out a new bread recipe,
my relaxation is a glass of red wine and a good conversation with my husband and
my Swiss mantra is It’s never too late to be what you might have been.
